The other day I was watching the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and all the emotions of that day came flooding back. It made me wonder why was this moment in history so emotional for me. It didn't happen in Canada and I didn't know anyone who died in those towers. Then it dawned on me, I was emotional because of the evil that was displayed was real life. No longer are we protected by a TV screen or the pages of a book, this evil was real and no super powered person was going to come save the day. This is real and it truly scared me.
Seeing the images of people jumping from the towers and hearing the helicopter pilots sadness of not being able to get to the roofs to help evacuate has made me realize that life is too short and that the world kept moving. Here is the amazing part, I didn't know of the great boat evacuation. That was an amazing way to show those Evil creatures what true humanity is about. Those boats didn't have to help, they didn't need to risk their lives, but they did...why? because it was the right thing to do.
So, here is my plea, Goderich was struck by Tornado a few weeks ago that have levelled their down town. Sure air planes didn't hit it, but nature did and these people need our help. Donate to your red cross, go there to help with the clean up...world may keep moving along, but we can stop and lend a helping hand.

Tandoori Chicken without the Tandoor but with all the Taste
Here is your chance to cook up a delicious Indian dish without the spice!
- Chicken wings 1 - 2lbs ( for thighs and breast double the measurements)
- 1/4 c of Tandoori Powder ( can be found at a local grocery store, or an Asian food store)
- 1/3 c of Black pepper
- 2 tbsp of Salt
- 2 tbsp of Garlic Powder
- 1 cup of Ketchup
- 1/3 c of Paprika
1) in a bowl mix everything but the chicken wings together. Taste the marinade and make sure it is to your liking. Add salt and pepper if need be.
2) coat the entire chicken with the marinade. If it is not too much, make another batch and add it
3) pre-heat the overn to 400F
4) place the marinaded chicken into the freezer
5) when the over is preheated, place the chicken on a non stick ( or Pam sprayed) grilled pan
6) Bake for 1hr and checking on it every 20 minutes to make sure it not burning
this is enough to feed 3 - 4 people and very yummy if served with rice
ENJOY!
